Apparently no one at Jimmy Kimmel's Hollywood studio has ever thought to install a backup generator, so when the power went out before filming was to begin on Tuesday, Jimmy grabbed his MacBook and decided to record the entire show from the built-in webcam. It was a creative (not to mention enterprising) move.
(Show publicist) Hettrick says guests Seth Rogen, John Henson and country artist Dierks Bentley were very accommodating in "going with what happened."
The quality of the show, airing tonight, might not be the best, but it's gotten a ton of press. It's likely that people will tune in just to check out what a talk show filmed via laptop will look like.
You can catch the episode this evening on Houston's ABC 13 at 11:05 p.m. Central. And don't forget about Jimmy's special, Jimmy Kimmel Live: Twilight Saga: Total Eclipse of the Heart, airing tonight at 9 p.m. (It was not filmed on a laptop, by the way.)
