It's all that everyone seems to be talking about the 2nd largest ball in Texas, the Zombie Ball to be hosted at Austin's Sustainable Waves. They are a remarkable company that specializes in providing Solar powered sound and lighting systems, constructing Solar Stages, supporting Eco-Vendors, and other environmentally sound projects. What many people are aloof to is that each year millions of CO2 ions are dispersed into the atmosphere and this aids in the effects of global warming which in turn leads to poor air. Sustainable Waves is just a few blocks from downtown, it is located on E. 5th St near Cesar Chavez. The event will host three eco-friendly stages; a restored firetruck complete with a state of the art flying solar system. A haunted Ballroom with Jennifer Ayers chic fashion collection accompanied by the Zombie Caberet. Each stage will be accented with high-end video capable lighting installations by Element Systems and Red Star Productions another partner company. The Ball will house some of Austin's elite bands including Spoonfed Tribe, PONG, Killa Dilla, Moving Matter, BoomBox, T Bird and the Breaks, Narcissia Dhial, FM campers, Princess Slay-ah & more special guests. There will also be a Ride of the Zombie's bike tour on Halloween night commencing at 7:30 pm from Cafe Mundi to the Zombie Ball. For a description of each band visit the Zombie Ball Music Page provided by Sustainable Waves.
The Zombie Ball is on October 30th and 31st giving many an opportunity to participate in this spectacular event. Cost is $14 in advance and $20 at the door.
