As if Lil Wayne’s seizure incident wasn’t enough, “Wild Thing” Tone Loc collapses during a concert Saturday night, March 16, 2013. According to The De Moines Register, “...Tone Loc finished a song, then went to the ground.”
Loc has been known to have health issues in the past and has collapsed on stage before. In May of 2009, he was sent to the hospital after passing out on stage in Florida. October of 2011, he collapsed on stage after suffering from exhaustion and was hospitalized in Atlanta.
In 2012, Loc collapsed twice. Once during a performance and according to his manager, it was from heat exhaustion The second one happened when he suffered from a seizure in August, however; it didn’t happen during a performance. According to his manager, it was due to food poisoning.
Some speculate that the 47 year-old rapper’s recent collapse, at the Bridge Bash in downtown Des Moines, was due to another seizure.
Although he’s best known for his late 1980’s hits, “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina”, Tone Loc has appeared in films like, “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” with Jim Carrey and “Heat” with Al Pacino. No updates have been released on his condition.
