Tone Loc collapses during Iowa show

Rap artist Tone Loc collapsed on stage during a concert Saturday night, March 16.

The 47-year old rapper did not want to be hospitalized after he fell and the concert in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, was called off minutes later.

Associated Press reports that there was no official word from the "Funky Cold Medina" singer's camp regarding the incident and why Loc collapsed.

This is not the first time he rapper, real name Anthony Terrell Smith, has passed out in public. In 1995 he collapsed during a Los Angeles Lakers game. He had a seizure during a show Pensacola, Florida show in 2009 and reportedly collapsed in 2011 during a show in Atlanta, Georgia from exhaustion.

Tone Loc has also appeared on film and television, most notably with Jim Carrey in 1994's "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective".
