On January 28 Tomorrowland, the world’s largest electronic dance music festival, announced that it will be releasing its Global Journey Packages to international travelers on Saturday, February 1 at 5p.m. CST (6p.m. EST and 3p.m PST). With plans to becoming bigger than ever before, 2014 will mark the festival’s 10 year anniversary with the expansion of an additional weekend July 18-20 and 25-27.
For international travelers, it is recommended to have all flight, hotel accommodations, and tickets decided in advance. Pre-registration will not be needed; however, it is advised to choose a package and complete the proper application prior Saturday, February 1. The Tomorrowland 2014 line-up is still to be confirmed, but acts that have performed in the past include Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Avicii, Axwell, Steve Aoki, Afrojack.
Due to the increasing demand of tickets and the 2013 sales being bought in a reported second, the festival decided to double its size in capacity this year welcoming 360,000 travelers from its 180,000 occupants last year.
To celebrate the festival’s 10th anniversary, Tomorrowland will be building an enormous art installation to symbolize the unity that Tomorrowland continues to bring to cultures and nationalities world-wide. Tomorrowland has become the United Nations of festivals with fans brandishing flags from countries around the world. In 2013 alone a reported 92 nationalities visited the festival to support Tomorrowland’s message of unification.
Fans can become an integral part of this history by creating a message that will be engraved in the art which is set to be immortalized on Tomorrowland’s festival grounds forever. Each plank will fund the Human Right Watch Organization. For more information or to create a personal message, please visit PeopleofTomorrow.com
