Tommy Hilfiger presented his Spring 2014 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014 Collections at Pier 4 in New York City, on September 09, 2013.
The new collection was full of color and sporty details capturing the ageless, carefree attitude and Californian style. "From Melrose to Malibu," says the designer, "the West Coast represents the golden age of surfing, sport and optimism."
Inspired by the sunny West Coast, Hilfiger presented his designs in a range of colors from saturated to sun-bleached pastels.
The iconic American classics like the polo, barracuda jacket, sports jersey and bowling shirt are impressive, with a vibrant and postmodern touch. For spring, dress pants offer the comfort of tracksuits thanks to denim and chambray fabrics that have a soft touch. The clothes are distinguished by the color, while the exclusive Hawaiian prints invigorate the flowing silhouettes.
Abounded references to diving, surf and skate - very present in the typical lifestyle of the Golden State – as well sporty details, were incorporated with great success throughout the collection.
