Tommy Hilfiger and Zooey Deschanel Team Up For "New Girl" Collection

I swear Zooey Deschanel as her character Jess in the hit FOX show "New Girl" has created a new fashion trend. The slightly (understatement) awkward, doe-eyed Jess wears what I refer to as librarian chic. The over-sized glasses paired with school girl-ish outfits make her utterly adorable.

...and ladies everywhere are joining in!

Now the actress has teamed up with designer Tommy Hilfiger to launch her own "New Girl" collection. The new line made up of 16 dresses will make its debut at Macy’s this spring.

“They are Sixties-inspired short dresses,” Hilfiger noted. “There is a lot of red, white and blue, but done in a Zooey way with interesting detail and flirty fabrics. They are very Jean Shrimpton and Twiggy — really from the Sixties in London. That’s not something we would normally put in our regular sportswear line — maybe we’d be inspired by the Sixties for the runway, but it’s a new way to look at fun, American classics.”

We here at Examiner love it! Can't wait!
