Tomlin, Fonda to star in new Netflix series

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will be teaming up for a brand new Netflix original series! It’s just in time too because we know you have already been through all of Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and taken a second pass through the West Wing. The 13 episode first season was written by Marta Kaufman (Friends) and Howard J Morris, and is set to premiere in 2015. The pair are set as long time rivals who are forced together by fate when their husbands unexpectedly declare their love for one another. This should be a funny, refreshing, single camera sitcom starring two old Hollywood hats. The actresses last paired up in the 1980 film 9 to 5.

With the streaming service’s original shows like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black already scoring Emmy nominations, it’s easy to see why the online network would continue with its successful ideas. Putting cable networks to shame often, Netflix is the preferred way of entertainment for many people.
