Tom Petty and The Heartbreaker fans residing in the mid-west jazzed to see the veteran Florida rockers this fall will be elated or devastated at the news of upcoming tour schedule adjustments. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and longtime backing band have made a handful of changes to their recently announced 2014 fall tour of the U.S. and Canada in support of their upcoming studio album Hypnotic Eye.
According to an article posted June 5 at Pollstar.com, the "Free Falling" hitmaker has replaced two previously announced shows in Kansas City, Mo. and Lincoln, Neb. with new additions in Denver, Co and Clarkston, Mich. Cancelled dates include Sept. 30 in Kansas City, Mo. at Sprint Center, as well as Oct. 1 in Lincoln, Neb. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Refunds for the cancelled shows are available at point of purchase. Members of the Highway Companions Club living in the Kansas City and Lincoln regions are eligible to win tickets to shows in Nashville Sept. 23 and Tulsa Sept. 28, as well as the concerts at Red Rocks.
New additions include two shows on Sept. 30 & Oct. 1 at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as Sept. 30 & Oct. 1., along with a gig on Aug. 24 at Clarkston's DTE Energy Music. Ex-Traffic/Spencer Davis Group frontman Steve Winwood will appear as guest artist on all dates.
Pre-sales for both Red Rocks dates go on sale Mon., June 16. General onsales start Fri., June 20.

The Hypnotic Eye Tour kicks off Aug. 3 in San Diego, Calif. at Viejas Arena and wraps up Oct. 10 in Inglewood, Calif. at The Forum. The coast - to - coast Canadian leg begins Aug. 14 in Vancouver, B.C. at Rogers Arena and finishes Aug. 28 at Montreal's Bell Centre. Fans purchasing a concert ticket will receive a copy of the new record.
Festival headline appearances include Aug. 9 in San Francisco, Calif. at Outside Land Music and Arts Festival, as well as Sept. 6 in Arrington, Va. at Interlocking Music Festival. For more details, check out TomPetty.com.
Hypnotic Eye hits shelves on July 29 and will be released in digital, vinyl and Blu-ray audio editions, as well as on CD. Fans who pre-order the release on iTunes and Amazon beginning June 3 will receive an instant download of the first of several tracks from the album.
