It was an idea that was originally sparked in the 1990's after Cinderella disbanded, and yet the songs that later came to make up the aptly titled album, The Way Life Goes, didn't even start to be recorded until 2003. And even though it's been another 10 years since that point, it's quite a victory for Keifer to be releasing this album at all after being told by doctors that he'd never sing again due to a partially paralyzed vocal cord.
After 15-million Cinderella records sold worldwide Keifer obviously knows what he's doing behind the guitar and microphone - fortunately for rock fans, Mr. Keifer's career is far from over. And on April 30 his long awaited debut album will hit the shelves. However, Keifer will be embarking on his first solo tour even before then so fans can get a sneak preview of some of the material off of his 14 song release early. The songs are described as intimate and organic, and in an array of styles ranging from acoustic to driving hard rock representative of the blues, rock and country influences that make up Keifer's unique style.
Kicking off the tour in North Carolina early in February and then zig-zagging around the U.S., on Friday, February 22, Keifer and company will be rolling into the Chicago-area for a show at Viper Alley in Lincolnshire. Doors open at 7 P.M. and show time is 9 for this 18+ show.
