Tom Hiddleston is set to co-star with Charlie Hunnam in a new Guillermo del Toro horror film, according to an Oct. 26 report in Perez Hilton. “Crimson Peak” is a scary movie written by Guillermo, and is scheduled to start filming in February 2014, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Charlie Hunnam recently abandoned the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film, stating that he was not comfortable with the media attention he was getting. No one knows what the “Sons of Anarchy” star thinks of “Once Upon a Time” actor, Jamie Dornan, being cast in his former role of Christian Grey.
Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska are also said to be in the film, according to IMDB.
Tom Hiddleston is currently promoting the latest Marvel movie,“Thor: The Dark World”, with Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth. Tom spoke to SlashFilm about “Thor 2” and mentioned how scared he was reading Guillermo del Toro’s script for “Crimson Peak”.
Guillermo’s an absolute omniscient about that particular genre of fiction … The script itself is bone chillingly terrifying. When I was reading it for the first time I had to get up and walk around the room, then sit down again because I was so scared. But it’s also so sophisticated. It’s actually a very mature film. It has a very sophisticated and adult sensibility that stems from what Guillermo sees as the root of all of this stuff, which is the gothic romance literature of the nineteenth century,” Hiddleston said.
[‘Crimson Peak’] has a lot of kinky moments. The only kinky moment I’ve ever shot is the leg **** in ‘The Devil’s Backbone’. [laughs] This [film] has a little more kinkiness than that.”
“Crimson Peak” is currently in pre-production and is scheduled for a spring 2015 release.
