Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton are seen as sexy vampires in a new upcoming film called “Only Lovers Left Alive”, according to a report in Just Jared. Tom plays “Adam”, a depressed vampire musician who has given up on the world, and Tilda plays “Eve”, his long time lover who reunites with him, via IMDB.
The trailer for the film starts out with Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton laying on the ground looking up at the camera, but clearly at different locations. Tilda’s character, “Eve”, says that the two were married in 1868, remarking on how young they used to be.
Tom’s character is described by one character as a “suicidally romantic scoundrel” while shots of Hiddleston with long black hair, playing with a bullet appear.
You being so reclusive and everything is probably only going to make people more interested in your music,” says Anton Yelchin’s character, “Ian”, to “Adam”.
What a drag…,” Tom Hiddleston replies playing a guitar.
Then it appears that “Eve” returns to “Adam” and they reconcile immediately. Unfortunately, it looks as if a snag hits when “Eve” mentions that her sister, “Ava”, is searching for the two of them. Tom’s character replies, “Shouldn’t she be sleeping in a coffin somewhere?”.
The rest of the trailer shows the trio drinking what appears to be blood from sherry glasses and running around L.A. being sexy cool vampires.
How can you live so long, and still not get it?” asks Tilda Swinton’s character.
At the end, a naked shot is shown of Swinton and Hiddleston entwined in a bed, with strategically placed font for the film title.
“Only Lovers Left Alive” is directed and written by Jim Jarmusch, best known for “Broken Flowers” with Bill Murray and “Ghost Dog”. It does not have a release date, as of publication of this article.
