Tom Cruise to make a movie based on his 'Tropic Thunder' character, Les Grossman

Yep, prepare your ears. Les is getting his own movie.

Because people apparently can't get enough of the Les Grossman character Tom Cruise played in Tropic Thunder, he's getting his own movie. (Us Weekly) The movie will be about the foul-mouthed movie mogul's struggle to make it to the top of his industry. (Let's be honest: The chances of this being good are slim. Les Grossman is funny... in small doses.)

Ben Stiller, Cruise's co-star from Tropic Thunder, will help produce the film along with Stuart Cornfield. Stiller had this to say about the film, "Les Grossman's life story is an inspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds. He has assured me he plans to quote, 'F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.' I am honored to be working with him."  (Us Weekly)

Michael Bacall, the man who happens to be behind the seemingly awesome Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, will be taking on the script for the movie. No word on when the film will be completed but one can safely assume that it will be packed with big-name cameos.

Cruise recently reprised his role as Grossman at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (MTV airs in Lexington on cable channel 43) when he danced his awkward yet funny trademark dance that was first seen in Tropic Thunder. Later J-Lo joined him on stage. In case you missed it the first time, check out the infamous dance scene.
