Being on the big screen puts Tom Cruise in front of fans in a big way, but not always in the way he hopes. This week, fans are clamoring over the rumor that Tom Cruise is buying a Hawaiian hide away in the hopes of stealing Suri away from Katie Holmes.
It appears that the National Enquirer began the rumors citing a secret source who provided the information. The story was picked up by Gossip Cop on January 30 and published on Entertainmentwise on January 31.
Both Gossip Cop and Entertainmentwise assure the reader that the rumor has no basis and that Cruise’s rep has stated Tom Cruise is not shopping for property in Hawaii.
Although the story provided all the trappings for whisking Suri away from mommy via a mansion on a secluded island in the tropics, for now it seems the story is only fantasy and there is no magical get away planned for Tom Cruise and daughter Suri.
