Tom Cruise may appear in the new 'Star Wars' movie

Tom Cruise has generated a lot of excitement around rumors that he may appear in the new "Star Wars" movie. Cruise may make a cameo appearance in the new "Star Wars" movie reported EntertainmentWise on June 23, 2014. Cruise is one of the latest stars to recently be linked to J.J. Abrams' new "Star Wars" movie.

The science fiction blockbuster "Star Wars" is already extremely popular and if Cruise comes on board it is likely to reach new highs in ratings. Over the weekend it is said Cruise had a meeting with the film’s director Abrams in London to discuss his possible involvement with the movie. Cruise has been in London for over a week.

On Saturday evening Cruise met with Abrams and some other people from Star Wars at the Belgravia Hotel. They enjoyed some drinks and dinner together. Abrams produced "Mission: Impossible 5" and has said that he loves working with Cruise whenever the opportunity arises.

Production for the new "Star Wars" movie was temporarily stopped a couple weeks ago after Harrison Ford was injured on the set. Ford broke his left leg in an accident on the set for "Star Wars: Episode VII." His rep said he's now doing fine after surgery reports ABC News.

It appears that Cruise has opened up talks over a possible cameo appearance in Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII" film reports Sky News. "Star Wars: Episode VII" began filming at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire and is planned for release during Christmas in 2015. Cruise and Abrams enjoyed working together on "Mission: Impossible 5" which is scheduled to hit cinemas late next year. Cruise really should appear in "Star Wars: Episode VII." This is the kind of high drama science fiction film he's really a perfect match for.
