Tom Cruise and costar Olga Kurylenko celebrated the UK premiere of their film “Oblivion” screened at the BFI IMAX on April 4, 2013 in London, England.
Cruise plays the role of veteran “Jack Harper,” a drone repairman, who must extract war-torn and alien-ravaged Earth’s remaining resources – a task that makes him question his mission and himself…
Looking sharp in his sharp three-piece charcoal grey suit, Cruise was joined by actress Olga Kurylenko, who looked stunning in her black and white lace-trimmed off-shoulder gown.
Based on comic books by Joseph Kosinski and Arvid Nelson, “Oblivion” is directed by Joseph Kosinski (also attending today), with screenplay written by Kosinski himself, Karl Gajdusek and Michael Arndt.
The action-packed sci-fi thriller also stars Morgan Freeman, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Zoe Bell.
Tom Cruise fans may recall him in 2005 film “War of the Worlds” which has a similar plot with aliens attacking Earth.
Something says the filmmaking industry will continue to indulge that theme in years to come…
Also attending the UK film premiere in style were Amal Fashanu, Ashley Roberts, Franz Drameh, Bill Paxton and James May.
