Tom Brady on Richard Sherman’s post-game rant: ‘He’s that kind of guy’

Michael Crabtree, you are not alone. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has also been the target of Richard Sherman’s post-game trash talking. After Seattle’s NFC Championship Game victory over the San Francisco 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl, Sherman had a message for Crabtree. As NESN reports on Jan. 20, Brady recalled a similar situation involving the Seahawks cornerback.

The game wasn’t quite as big, but it was a big victory for Seattle. After the Seahawks beat the Patriots 24-23 at CenturyLink Field, Sherman went up to Brady and said “U MAD BRO”. Although Brady won’t be facing Sherman, after the Patriots lost in the AFC Championship game against the Denver Broncos, the star quarterback did remember the incident and offered his opinion about Richard Sherman in his weekly appearance on “Dennis & Callahan”:

“I don’t know him at all. I’ve watched him play. He’s that kind of guy. So, you know. I approach the game – and I have respect for my opponents. That’s the way our team always plays. We win with graciousness, and when we lose, we could do better.”

Richard Sherman’s post game rant may be considered disrespectful, but when a player with the talent that Sherman does produces, he is backing up the big talk. The truth hurts more than words in most cases and in this case the truth is that Sherman’s team is going to the Super Bowl while Brady’s team is heading into an offseason of healing.

In the meantime, Richard Sharman will most likely respond to Brady’s comments, but not before first turning his attention to his next opponents. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
