Tom Bergeron says ballroom boos not directed at Sarah Palin

On last night’s episode of “Dancing With the Stars,” audience members surprisingly started booing when Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough were receiving their scores. Many fans of the show claimed that the ballroom boos were directed at Sarah Palin, who was in the audience to support her daughter, Bristol. “Not so,” explained Tom Bergeron. So, why did the audience offer a collective boo, and exactly who was it directed towards? Plus, how did the awkward moment come into play in the first place?

As host Brooke Burke was interviewing Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough following their Jive during week two, the audience started booing. This surprising moment caused Burke to say, “There’s booing in the ballroom, we don’t know why.” This was followed by Grey’s response, “Why is there booing?” Burke then threw it to Tom Bergeron, who was seated in the audience next to Sarah Palin. The host did not comment on the booing and proceeded with the show. This left viewers wondering about the situation, and many assumed that the boos were directed at Sarah Palin.

Last night, host Tom Bergeron appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” During his interview, he explained the situation to Kimmel and said that the boos were in response to Grey’s scores. After being praised profusely by the judges, Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough received across-the-board 8’s. The audience thought these scores were too low, especially in light of the judges’ high praise. “The boos were not directed at Sarah Palin at all,” Bergeron explained to Jimmy Kimmel. Despite the boos and surprising scores, Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough landed at the top of the leaderboard for week two

Of course the boos were directed to the judges for the low scores. Anybody who has watched the show for any length of time knows the audience often boos the judges.

Besides, when Tom introduced Sarah Palin just moments later, the audience CHEERED!!

funny how the liberal media always spins stories to somehow make Ms. Palin not look as favorable as she is.
