Tokio Hotel’s “Welcome to Humanoid City Tour” played in cities all over Europe this past year. The DVD/ CD based on the concert, “Humanoid City Live” has reached #1 on the Brazilian, Columbian, Chechnyan, Swiss, Malaysian, German, French, Spanish, Belgian and Portuguese charts. The concert was based on Tokio Hotel’s most recent album, “Humanoid”, which was also rated one of the top albums of the year in Germany for 2009 along with Michael Jackson’s “King of Pop” and Eminem’s “Relapse”.
These awards represent just some among the many awards and accolades Tokio Hotel has received of late. Just this past week, Spin Magazine announced that Tokio Hotel won in the “Best Band” in a 25-year Reader’s Poll. Tokio Hotel also brought home awards at the Radio Regenbogen (their second), the NRJ’s, the 2010 Comet Awards as well as a VIVA Award for “Humanoid’s” German title track, “Automatisch”.
Tokio Hotel fans can catch a listen to the lyrics of “Humanoid” on the Rock Band 3 video game.
