In the busy area of Palisade Avenue and Locust Hill Avenue in Yonkers, a three-year-old girl was shot in the arm around 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 during a brawl involving a large number of armed teenagers.
Detective Lt. Patrick McCormack said two suspects believed to be directly involved in the shooting were arrested.
A 14-year-old boy will be charged with three felonies: second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.
A 16-year-old boy will be charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal facilitation, a misdemeanor.
The toddler was transported to Jacobi Medical Center, where she is listed in good condition.
The incident is remains under investigation, so the police aren't releasing any further information at this time. They ask anyone with information about the melee to call the detective division at (914)-377-7724.
