Singer-songwriter Todd Snider will be bringing his mixture of Americana, alt-country, and folk tunes to The El Rey Theatre on Tuesday, May 7.
Tickets are on sale now for $18 in advance. They can be purchased at Diamond W Western Wear; Blaze N J’s; and The Fusion Pit in Anderson. Tickets are also available by calling 1-866-468-3399, or visiting ticketweb.com.
The doors will open at 7:30, and the show starts at 8 p.m. All those who plan on attending must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by an adult.
Born in Portland, Ore., Snider became noticed in the mid-1980s, when he performed regularly at a Memphis, Tenn. club called The Daily Planet. Snider would later name his first album, 1994’s “Songs for the Daily Planet,” after the club.
Fans of “The Bob & Tom Show” most likely know Snider’s song, “Beer Run,” which has become a popular request on the show. Other songs by Snider include “Talkin’ Seattle Grunge Rock Blues” and “Statistician’s Blues.”
