It appears that Todd Haley is out of the running for the Cardinals open head coaching spot. Haley reportedly loves his job as the Steelers offensive coordinator and won't interview for the Cardinals gig, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Haley, of course, has ties to the Cardinals. He was Arizona's offensive coordinator for two years, which included Arizona's Super Bowl appearance in 2008. Haley then spent 2+ seasons as the Chiefs head coach before becoming the Steelers OC this past season.
With Haley no longer in the picture, Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and the Cardinals current defensive coordinator Ray Horton are the two guys who remain the favorites to get the Cardinals job. Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden is scheduled to be interviewed tomorrow.
Haley not even interviewing for the Cardinals job is a bit of a surprise. It has been said that Haley likes the job and team president Michael Bidwill has always liked him, but he must have felt that he had a pretty gig in Pittsburgh.
