Todd Chrisley’s bankruptcy case has taken a new turn, and the reality TV star must now produce all of his emails for the court. Wetpaint reports on April 3 that the “Chrisley Knows Best” father initially told the courts his designer wardrobe only cost $600, but the trustee Jason L. Pettie no longer believes him. Chrisley has mentioned he spends $300,000 a year on clothes, so the figures do not align.

The court trustee wants AOL and Google to give him access to all of Chrisley’s emails because he suspects the star may be hiding money. In addition, the trustee wants a more accurate estimate for the total cost of his designer wardrobe and has suggested that Todd sell it to pay for his debts. However, the reality star argues that selling the clothes is not a good idea because used items have a lower value.

Fans of “Chrisley Knows Best” may not be aware of Todd’s bankruptcy problems because he does not discuss them on the show, and his lavish lifestyle does not reveal any money problems. However, Chrisley filed for bankruptcy in 2012 and claimed to have $49.4 million in debt. The paperwork from the filing shows he has $55 in his bank account, yet he continues to live in a 30,000-square-foot mansion.

The trustee believes that Chrisley is hiding assets and may have moved some of his money into his wife’s accounts. He hopes to discover some of this activity by going through the star’s email accounts with the court’s permission.
