'Today Show': Donny Deutsch slams 'The View' for Star Jones treatment

During the "Young Professionals" segment on "The Today Show" Thursday, things ended up getting rather dramatic rather quickly courtesy of some comments made by Donny Deutsch about fellow panelist Star Jones' appearance on "The View" Wednesday.

Before the actual segment begin, Deutsch started things off by saying that the ladies of "The View" turned in to "mean girls" when they "ambushed" Star by forcing to confront her about her abrupt exit from the show back in 2006 -- when she was really there just to talk about her recovery from heart disease and a way to promote it for charity.

Jones, to her credit, said that she was grateful to the opportunity to go back on the show to promote her cause -- and while she admitted that the interview was "tough," she was not too interested in blasting Barbara Walters or her show as a whole.

What do you think about Deutsch's comments -- and does "The View" owe Star an apology?
