Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: winter is coming

With one ski area left on the board, the Colorado Snow Report is a lot easier to compile. As you can see in the report below, it snowed a little overnight; a heavy, wet, spring/summer snow.

More is on the way with a chance for snow in the mountains every day through Monday, with snow “likely” on Mother’s Day, aka this Sunday.

Almost everything is open at A-Basin this morning, including the East Wall and Montezuma Bowl. A-Basin reports that 32 percent of its expert terrain is still open, and 100 percent of the beginner, intermediate and advanced trails.

It’s good stuff for this time of year, and more to come, so get up there and enjoy it. In the meantime, here are the 24-hour totals….
