As noted in yesterday’s Colorado Snow Report, we’re slowly but surely getting to the point where most if not all the terrain in Colorado will open up. Winter Park opened the Parsenn Bowl at Mary Jane this morning and Blue Sky Basin is now open at Vail, so there’s progress definitely being made.
However, despite the recent waves of snow storms we’ve still got some catching up to do at most Colorado ski resorts, excepting Powderhorn, Monarch Mountain, Steamboat and Wolf Creek, which all have picked up the lion’s share of the snow recently and are either at 100 percent open or just about there.
Following a nice round of snow over the past five days, the next round is expected to start moving into Colorado Sunday evening and stick around through Monday night, aka New Year’s Eve. After that, there’s nothing in sight for awhile, according to the National Weather Service.
We’ll keep you updated on the latest opening across the state, plus the totals from the next round of snow. Here are the 24-hour totals, followed by the five-day totals in parentheses and the latest terrain report from each Colorado ski resort…
