Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: weekend outlook

As you can see from the totals below, snow continues to favor the north and north central mountains of Colorado, which is a welcome change of pace for those ski areas.

If you’re headed out this morning on a sick day, please note that Loveland Pass is closed this morning and to expect sketchy conditions right before you get to the Eisenhower Tunnel and beyond. So take it easy, be safe and bundle up since it’s supposed to be quite windy today through Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will continue in the northern and north central mountains all day long, especially at higher elevations along the Continental Divide. Perhaps some lingering snow tonight will follow with another chance, albeit only 30 percent, for Sunday night into Monday, aka Washington’s birthday, aka Presidents’ Day.

Have a great weekend, and stay tuned here for the latest on snow, events, news and deals from Colorado’s ski areas. In the meantime, here are the 24-hour and 48-hour totals…
