A lull in the snow action is expected in Colorado’s mountains today following three days of snow that picked and chose its spots carefully, as you can see in the three day-totals below.
Another round of snow is expected to start hitting tomorrow evening, peaking on Thursday, and then lingering through most of the weekend.
If you’re headed up to the mountains today expect what the National Weather Service calls “blustery” conditions. Though it will be sunny today, the wind will make it rather cold, so bundle up.
Loveland Pass is closed due to “adverse conditions.” In other words, the snow is blowing all over the place, and especially across the road, up there. We’re confident it will reopen later this afternoon, but for now you’ll need to take the long way if you’re going to Keystone or A-Basin.
