Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: snow on the way

See also

This week should be a snowy one, though how much actually accumulates and where is still in the air, so to speak. We saw a smattering of snow here and there overnight, as you’ll see in this morning’s report. It was just enough snow to close Loveland Pass this morning, which was already closed overnight for avalanche mitigation.

It’s supposed to snow all week here and there, with the heaviest amounts expected between Tuesday and Thursday when a foot or more could pile up… but we’ll see.

Some light snow is expected today, mainly along I-70 and north along the Continental Divide, and windy conditions ahead of the arctic front starting to dip down into Colorado. That arctic chill will really hit Tuesday afternoon and turn the state into an ice box, leaving us with highs in the single digits by the end of the week.

Stay tuned here for the latest. In the meantime, here’s the current snow and terrain report with the 24-hour totals, followed by the latest terrain report…
