Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: slow but steady

There was just a tad of lingering snow here and there yesterday, and there may be a bit more tonight through Friday morning. Following that, the National Weather Service forecasts a chance for snow again on Sunday, with “snow likely” in the mountains Sunday night, which is nice.

It appears we’re in what we like to call a “slow but steady” pattern where we get snow every two or three days, but with generally and relatively minor accumulations.

We think this is better than nothing, and you never know when one, two or three of Colorado’s ski areas will be walloped, such as Powderhorn did the other day with 19 inches when the average across the state was more like two or three inches.

Loveland Pass is closed this morning for some reason, and look out for potential delays at the Twin Tunnels and through Georgetown. Good luck, and good hunting.
