Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: one week till Christmas

See also

With Christmas Day only a week away, now is the time to take a look at what may happen between now and then, snow- and terrain-wise, that is.

We’ll also pass along notable info about what’s happening off the slopes over Christmas, as we did recently with Winter Park’s The Seven Days of Christmas, Vail Snow Daze and Keystone’s Kidtopia opening, for instance.

Though we’ve had an excellent early season so far, the early season could turn into a mid-season crisis if we don’t get more snow more regularly. Help is on the way, apparently, with snow in the forecast tonight through the weekend.

We’re not expecting any big shakes from the next round of snow – maybe 6-12” total over the next four or five days depending on the location – but it will keep those snow bases fresh and going through Christmas.

Stay tuned here for the latest. In the meantime, here’s the latest 24-hour snow report plus the latest terrain updates …
