Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: New Year’s snow

Though there’s really nothing new to report this morning, other than some subtle changes in this morning’s terrain report below, there is another system moving into today that could bring more than a foot of snow to some locations in Colorado’s high country.

According to the National Weather Service, this storm will favor the southwest mountains and move through the state in that direction. So, while snow will eventually be widespread by tomorrow, including perhaps some light snow on the Front Range, accumulations will range from high to low from the southwest to the northwest.

Along with the storm will come colder temperatures, with highs in the single digits to low teens for most of the rest of the week, so bundle up accordingly. After this storm there’s nothing in the forecast this week and into early next weekend, but we’ll keep you updated.
