Arapahoe Basin

We love summer snowstorms, and they're really not that unusual, especially up in the mountains. We recall several seasons with big snows on Memorial Day weekend, and even on July 4.

This latest storm is a bit more unusual since it spilled out onto the Front Range as well and actually left accumulation and wintry conditions behind, but that's not important right now.

What is important is what the storm is leaving at Arapahoe Basin, Colorado's sole surviving ski area until October when everyone else starts preparing for next season. The only disappointment is that the snow totals didn't quite live up to the hype the storm promised, though we're still pleased with the results.

Check the five-day totals below for more info about what's piling up at A-Basin. The forecast calls for more snow all day today and tonight, though we're not expecting as much snow over the next 24 hours as was received in the previous 24.

There's also some chance for snow most of the week, peaking on Thursday when the National Weather Service calls for a 40 percent chance. Either way, we don't expect much, if anything, to fall after tonight. We'll keep you updated. In the meantime, here are 24-, 48-, 72-, 96- and 120-hour totals so far and in that order…

Arapahoe Basin: 8", 10”, 17”, 22”, 24”
