Snow tapered off a bit yesterday across the state, but there were still some accumulations at most of Colorado’s ski areas.
The snow possibilities are quite high today, tonight and through Thursday. The only problem with this round of snow is the wind, which has already led to the closure of Loveland Pass this morning. All that new snow and all that wind will make the roads sketchy for the next few days.
Fortunately there aren’t any other big problems this morning, but be sure to check CDOT’s website (www.cotrip.org) before you head out.
We expect (or hope, really) to see more than a foot of new snow by Friday, particularly in those locations that haven’t been as fortunate as Durango Mountain Resort, Powderhorn, Steamboat, Tellurdie and Wolf Creek. It’s time to even it up.
Stay tuned here for the latest snow totals, and we’ll update all the terrain on Friday when everything has settled in for the weekend. In the meantime, here are the 24-hour, two-day, three-day and four-day totals, in that order, from Colorado’s ski areas…
