That’s right. We missed our snow accumulation prediction for A-Basin by “that much,” or three inches. In other words, we went out on a limb yesterday and predicted that A-Basin would pick up an additional six inches of snow by this morning, but only three made it to earth.
Oh well. As we noted yesterday, you never really know what will happen, especially in mountainous terrain, but that’s part of what makes it so fun and challenging.
The weather should be rather nice today in the mountains as this flow of moisture that’s been bringing snow to A-Basin and severe weather to the Denver area is pretty much outta here. It should be a nice week for skiing at A-Basin, so get sick and do something about it.
In the meantime, here are the three-day totals…
Arapahoe Basin: 3”, 7”, 8” (3 lifts, 80% beginner terrain open, 100% intermediate, 66% advanced, 0% expert open, 74” base)
Aspen Mountain: 0”, 0”, 0” (2 lifts, 19 trails, 127 acres, 25% beginner/intermediate, 0% advanced/expert, 45” base)
