Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: late season snow this week

It's socked in once again this morning, which is good news for those of us hoping for a season that lasts through July 4.

As noted yesterday, today is a good day to be “sick,” as you can see in the snow totals below. And, it is supposed to continue to snow for most of the week, at least at the two ski areas that remain open: Arapahoe Basin and Loveland.

Loveland Pass is closed this morning due to “adverse conditions.” As you likely know, it doesn’t take much these days to close the pass, or even I-70, but there it is. So, if you’re headed to A-Basin, you’ll need to take the long way around.

In the meantime, stay tuned for the totals this week and keep your fingers crossed for as much snow as possible in order to extend A-Basin’s season through July 4. Aspen Mountain will re-open for the weekend next Saturday, by the way.

Here are the 24-hour and 48-hour totals, in that order….

Arapahoe Basin: 4”, 8”

Loveland: 9”, 12 1/2”
