If you’re looking for a powder day in May, look no further than Arapahoe Basin tomorrow morning. Since it’s May we’re using the word “powder” loosely since the snow is always a bit heavier than your typical Colorado powder this time of year.
Still, with new snow every day for the past four days (see report below for specifics), and a big snow expected today and tonight, conditions at A-Basin are primo. Everything, excepting only 16 percent of the expert (double-black) terrain, is open, including Montezuma Bowl and the East Wall.
There’s a potential for an additional two feet of snow or more over the next 24 hours. That would be amazing, and bring A-Basin’s season total up to around 430 inches.
