Today’s Colorado ski and snow report: and the winner is…

Wolf Creek! Runners-up include Durango Mountain Resort, aka Purgatory, Telluride and Crested Butte. It’s still snowing in most mountain locations this morning though it’s supposed to slack off and get very windy, so keep that in mind.

Also keep in mind that traffic is expected to be really bad between 2 and 6 p.m. Right now, westbound I-70 is closed at Vail between mile marker 171 and 168. It’s not a huge deal, but if you’re going past Vail to Beaver Creek and beyond you’ll have a minor delay.

There is some chance for snow in the forecast through Thursday, after which it’s supposed to be “blustery,” which is not a word you like to see in the forecast, but there it is. Snow is most likely Monday through Tuesday night.
