One such hopeful, Robbie West, 16, traveled from Unionville, TN and waited in line for 3 hours this morning to get his purple wristband.
Robbie said that he was instructed to; either come back tomorrow to fill out a registration form, or go online and fill it out there.
He said he was ‘alone’ without family or friends to support him in this endeavor.
Another excited singer, Victoria Sexton, also 16, drove up from Ocala, FL with her mom, arriving in Nashville last night.
She stated that they only had to wait in line for one hour and was bummed that the cut off age had been changed to 15 this year. She had waited a whole year to be able to compete.
