The Winter Jam Tour is headed to Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena on Friday, February 22 at 7 p.m. Cost is $10 at the door.
Sponsored by World Vision and hosted by GRAMMY®-nominated NewSong, Tobymac is headlining the 44-city tour. The tour also features Red, Matthew West, Jamie Grace, Sidewalk Prophets, Royal Tailor, OBB, Jason Castro, Capital Kings and Nick Hall.
Created by NewSong in 1995, the group hosts the multi-artist tour each year. The Gospel Music Association presented its Impact Award to the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular in 2009, in recognition of the tour’s continued success. NewSong has recorded 17 albums, garnering 20 #1 Christian radio singles and a GRAMMY® Award nomination, in addition to being inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, among numerous other achievements.
The band’s 30-year ministry has been highlighted by songs such as “The Christmas Shoes” and “Arise, My Love.” NewSong’s One True God, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart and it features the hit song “The Same God.” The group's latest recording, Swallow The Ocean is set to release from HHM Records/Newsong Ministries on February 26. According to officials, The Winter Jam 2012 Tour Spectacular outpaced attendance for all other tours in the first quarter, including Cirque du Soleil - “Michael Jackson: The Immortal,” Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, The Black Keys, Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley; according to Pollstar’s 2012 Worldwide First Quarter Ticket Sales “Top 100 Tours” chart.
Winter Jam’s primary focus is ministry and it’s an event that is affordable for individuals, families and groups. There are no tickets required and the cost is $10 at the door.
