Six-time GRAMMY® winner and multi-platinum selling artist TobyMac brings his Hits Deep Tour to Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sunday, December 15th, 2013, at 7:00pm. The Hits Deep Tour will feature a multi-artist lineup showcasing some of the best-loved songs performed by TobyMac and some of the biggest and brightest artists in Christian music – including Brandon Heath, Mandisa, Jamie Grace, Colton Dixon, Chris August, and newcomers Capital Kings.
With over 11 million units in career sales, TobyMac's career continues on the fast track. His most recent project, EYE ON IT, garnered him the highest chart debut of his solo career landing at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and topping the iTunes® Overall and Christian sales charts. The project made TobyMac one of only four artists to ever debut atop the Billboard Top 200 with a Christian music album. Earlier this year, EYE ON IT received a GRAMMY®, marking the sixth career award for TobyMac. The music video for the album title's track, featuring pop-sensation Britt Nicole, received over 500,000 views in its first three weeks. BRANDON HEATH: Since Brandon Heath’s debut on Reunion Records with Don’t Get Comfortable (2006), he has become one of Christian music’s most beloved and respected artists and songwriters. Heath has twice been honored as GMA Male Vocalist of the Year (2009 and 2010), additionally garnering an Emmy Award, five GRAMMY nominations, an American Music Award nomination and multiple GMA Dove Awards and songwriting honors. His award-winning songs and signature vocals reflect a soaring radio career that includes four No. 1 hits: I’m Not Who I Was, Wait and See, the 2009 GMA Dove Award-winning Song of the Year, Give Me Your Eyes and the eight-week chart topper, Your Love. MANDISA: Three-time GRAMMY® nominee and Season 5 American Idol finalist Mandisa is a voice of encouragement and truth to people facing life’s challenges all around the world. Her career discography includes: True Beauty, It’s Christmas: Christmas Angel Edition, Freedom, What If We Were Real, her remix EP, Get Movin’ and Christmas Joy EP, as well as a published author with the release of “Idoleyes: My New Perspective on Faith, Fat & Fame.” In less than a year, Mandisa has performed her hit singles Good Morning and Stronger on the highest rated morning show, ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Her performance of Stronger welcomed the emotional return of beloved morning host Robin Roberts to the show. JAMIE GRACE: 21-year old singer-songwriter Jamie Grace hails from outside of Atlanta in Lithonia, Georgia. At age 11, she was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and has since traveled the country sharing her story and faith through music and speaking. Her career made a remarkable debut with the help of multiple GRAMMY® winner, TobyMac who signed her to Gotee Records. During the time of the release of her debut project, One Song at a Time, Jamie balanced her time between her career as a touring artist and college. While her album propelled her to win her first GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year and receive her first GRAMMY® and Billboard Music Award nominations she also performed on the Women of Faith’s REVOLVE tour, TobyMac’s Hits Deep Tour and the highly attended 44-city Winter Jam Tour Spectacular. She has since graduated from Point University with a degree in children’s ministry.
COLTON DIXON: Born on October 19, 1991 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, singer/songwriter Colton Dixon first caught the public’s attention on season 11 of American Idol. The guitar-playing, golden-maned Dixon’s soaring vocals and upfront spirituality connected with audiences enough to secure a seventh-place finish, and it didn’t take long for the charismatic rocker to land a record deal. The resulting A Messenger, his debut for Sparrow Records, was released in 2013.
CHRIS AUGUST: Upon his debut in 2010, Fervent Records’ Chris August quickly became a favorite in the CCM genre. With an impressive sweep at the 42nd Annual Dove Awards, he earned awards for “New Artist of the Year” and “Male Vocalist of the Year,” adding him to an elite group of only three artists in the history of the show who have received both awards. He also claimed the nod for “Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year” for his debut album No Far Away. The album delivered August’s debut single Starry Night, which stayed No. 1 for six consecutive weeks on Billboard’s Christian/AC chart. Chris August released his highly-praised sophomore record The Upside of Down in August of 2012, which was painstakingly crafted and co-produced with award-winning producer Ian Eskelin. August is a self-taught pianist, guitarist, and producer who has previously toured with pop sensation Ashlee Simpson and has worked/co-wrote with artists such as Ryan Cabrera, Brian McKnight and Jessica Simpson before shifting his focus to a solo career.
CAPITAL KINGS: Capital Kings has already begun to make their mark as one of the industry’s hottest new acts, remixing on acclaimed artists’ records including TobyMac (EYE ON IT, Dubbed & Freq’d), Group 1 Crew (Fearless), Mandisa (Remixed: Get Movin’) and Britt Nicole (Gold). The D.C. natives released their EP, I Feel So Alive last fall on Gotee Records and made a splash in the New Year with their debut self-titled record. The duo has spent their debut year impacting all across the country – being featured on the West Coast and East Coast run of the Winter Jam Tour, touring with Family Force 5, playing international show dates and the halftime show at an NBA game (Oklahoma City Thunder) and opening for renowned act Neon Trees.
