Toby Jones confirmed for ‘Captain America’ sequel ‘The Winter Soldier’

Besides news of Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan returning for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” not much has been released about the sequel. On Monday, Jan. 21, however, Hey U Guys Blog Channel interviewed Toby Jones, and the actor confirmed his return.

Toby Jones played the malicious role of Arnim Zola, the right hand man of Red Skull in “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

Many fans are wondering how Zola survived when it has been many years since the war. Well, it looks like the film will be following the comics. In the comics, Zola captured his mental self into a robot to survive the war – so Jones might be gearing up in a robot suit for the sequel.

Joining Toby Jones are Anthony Mackie as Falcon, and Frank Grillo as Crossbones. The familiar faces of Samuel L. Jackson as Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, are also set to appear.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is scheduled to hit theaters April 4, 2014.
