Toadies announce headlining tour; 20-year anniversary reissue of debut album

Chances are, anyone that lived through the golden age of alternative rock - aka the early to mid-nineties - not only heard of the Toadies, they probably also had the band's 1994 breakthrough album, Rubberneck, spinning on repeat in a CD player. Singles such as the ghastly "Possum Kingdom" made their way into culture's collective consciousness and the video for the song was even featured on an episode of the hit MTV series Beavis and Butthead.

The Toadies are set to release the reissue of their landmark album on April 1. To support this effort, they're taking to the road, where they'll perform Rubberneck's entire track list from front to back, with friends friends the Supersuckers and Battleme in tow. The trek kicks off at SXSW and will take them around the nation to LA's Troubadour and San Francisco's The Independent.

20 years ago I would have never imagined that the album would have not only caught on, but held on for so long. The fans that album brought us have stayed with us over the years and continue to spread the word. I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces. – Vaden Todd Lewis
