Previously, we discussed Nostradamus' predictions in The Man who saw Tomorrow. There are many apocalyptical films that are biblically based. In the film The Seventh Sign, starring Demi Moore, it follows the seven signs of the apocalypse as outlined in the Book of Revelation. After several miscarriages Abbey, (Moore) learns that she is pregnant, but her child will be still born as the hall of souls is empty. When the child without a soul is born the world will end. She tries to stop one of the signs from happening in order to save her baby. As she is told, that will take something she does not have much of, hope. The film is well written and very suspenseful.

Whether the world will end in 2012 or in 3797, none us really know and if we do it will be hard to prove. Overall, it is probably better not know. The world could end at anytime and people can die at any time, so the best we can do is not spend our days thinking about dying and try to make the most of life. However, the doomsday films can be enjoyable watch and these two are very entertaining. Have a Happy New Year!
