Following on the heels of her 2013 EP Sail Out, Jhené Aiko is back with a new single. The full version of “To Love Or Die” has recently been leaked via SoundCloud and can be heard in full at the website. This single will be on Aiko's upcoming full-length album, Souled Out, and will be her proper debut in the music world.

According to MTV News, the “To Love Or Die” full-length track was leaked by DJ Pup Dawg onto his SoundCloud streaming account. Previously, only a small sample of the track had been available for listening through Aiko's Instagram account.

“To Love Or Die” features Jhené Aiko and hip hop group Cocaine 80s. This is the first single that Cocaine 80s has been properly featured on. On this track, Aiko's R&B siren song vocals are prominently put on display. She is heard effortlessly switching between singing and rapping, backed up by Cocaine 80s but never overshadowed by them.

The version of the song now online is not uncensored. It is most likely a radio cut of the album version that will be released later without the overlaying hype track.

Her 2013 EP Sail Out featured collaborations from artists such as Childish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar. The 2014 full-length album Souled Out will be produced by No I.D., same as the EP.

Aiko will be performing at the 2014 BET Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles this Sunday night. Other performers for the awards show will include Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, and Lionel Richie, who will also be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his works at the ceremony.
