Mark-Paul will co-star with Meyer in Franklin & Bash on TNT

TNT has given the originally-for-TBS, hour-long comedy series, Franklin & Bash, the greenlight.  The network that knows drama has given the series a 10-episode pick-up.

As was reported last March, Franklin & Bash is a buddy lawyer series starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer.  Says Michael Wright, head of programming for TNT, tbs and TCM, "Franklin & Bash is a hugely entertaining, smart and funny take on the legal procedural.  After viewing the outstanding pilot, we realized that its emphasis on quirky, likable characters and solid procedural structure make it an ideal addition to our current line-up of series on TNT."

As Deadline Hollywood puts it, "In Franklin & Bash, two young, fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants street lawyers cause a seismic culture clash when they join a legendary, button-down law firm.  Meyer plays Jared Franklin, who has a knack for connecting with jury and judge.  Gosselaar is Steven Bash, who loves sticking it to authority every chance he gets."

Joining Gosselaar and Meyer is Malcolm McDowell as Stanton Infeld, the patriarch of the law firm that hires Franklin and Bash.  Reed Diamond (Dollhouse, 24), Dana Davis and Kumail Nanjiani also star.
