TNT's 'Perception' adds Scott Wolf for Season 2

"Party of Five" alum Scott Wolf has booked a recurring role on Season 2 of TNT drama "Perception," the network announced Tuesday (Jan. 29).

The series stars Eric McCormack as Dr. Daniel Pierce, an eccentric neuroscientist and university professor who is recruited by a former student, FBI agent Kate Moretti (Rachael Leigh Cook), to help the federal government solve complex criminal cases.

Wolf will play Donnie, a charismatic and ambitious U.S. Attorney who was recently transferred back to Chicago. While he claims his transfer was totally random, he actually has a secret agenda involving his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kate (Cook).

TNT describes the character as a "blue-collar, Irish-Catholic kid from the south side who loves the White Sox," and who is “less concerned with doing what’s right than with what’s right for Donnie."

Wolf's recent TV credits include roles in "V," "NCIS" and "Everwood."

"Perception" is currently gearing up to start production on Season 2 for a summer 2013 premiere.
