10 episodes were ordered by the network for the 2nd TV season beginning Jan. 17, 2014. The popularity of the TV show on solving cold case crimes had prompted TNT to add 8 additional episodes for a summer run beginning June 6, 2014. Tonight's episode on July 18, 2014 is called, “Justice Served” at 9/8 p.m.

According to the official website of TNT. The synopsis of “Cold Justice” is right here. “In towns across America, both large and small, there are thousands of unsolved murder cases that have gone cold. With the right resources, though, it is possible that many of these cold cases can be re-opened and solved, bringing dangerous criminals to justice and providing closure for the families of their victims.”

In a press release sent out by the TNT network. It states that “In TNT's 'Cold Justice', Kelly Siegler, a Texas prosecutor for 21 years who has successfully tried 68 murder cases, and Yolanda McClary, a crime scene investigator who worked more than 7,000 cases in her 26 years on the Las Vegas Police Department - are putting their vast knowledge and experience to work helping local law-enforcement officers and families of violent-crime victims get to the truth.”

“With a fresh set of eyes on old evidence, superior interrogation skills and access to advanced DNA technology and lab testing, Siegler and McClary are determined to bring about a legal and emotional resolution. Taking on a different unsolved crime each week, they will carefully re-examine evidence, question suspects and witnesses, and chase down leads in order to solve cases that would have otherwise remained cold indefinitely.”

A guilty plea resulted after the very first TV episode of “Cold Justice” which was called, “Small town suicide.” A wife & mother was said to have committed suicide by her abusive husband back in the year 2000. The small town did not have the equipment to perform DNA tests at the crime scene. As a result, the case went cold for 12 years. “Cold Justice” investigated & interviewed witnesses again. With a pretty strong circumstantial case. They went to the district attorney to indict the husband on murder.
