The show opens with a big tag team match pitting Chris Sabin and Kenny King against Jeff Hardy and Manik. Hardy won the match and Austin Aries came out and proposed that all five men fight at "Bound for Glory." Hardy agrees and makes it an Ultimate X match.

A Knockouts three-way match is next with Brooke Tessmacher, Velvet Sky and the re-debuting Lei'D Tapa facing off. Tapa attacks and brutalizes Sky while Brooke leaves.
