TNA Impact Wrestling taped their next two television episodes and new TNA World Champion Eric Young put his title on the line. A TNA Hall of Fame star also made his big return at the taping. Here is a look at the TNA Wrestling spoilers from the two television episodes that TNA recorded on Friday night.
The biggest storyline coming out of the new TNA Impact Wrestling taping was the arrival of new TNA World Champion Eric Young. After 10 years in the company, Young finally won the TNA title and he had a couple of major confrontations at the two shows. First he had to go face-to-face with Dixie Carter and then a title match with former friend Abyss.
In the confrontation with Dixie Carter, she tried to bully Eric Young into joining her side. However, Young reminded her that she no longer ran things in TNA. She reminded him that she was still the owner and could fire ODB if Young didn’t fall in line. Bully Ray came out and sent her on her way. The main event of that episode saw Eric Young defend his newly won title against Abyss.
The Eric Young vs. Abyss match was a Monster’s Ball match, which Young won. This led to a confrontation of the second TV taping between former champion Magnus and Abyss. Magnus claimed he never really lost the title and blamed Abyss. He fired Abyss, which brought out MVP. MVP set up a match for the next TV taping with Magnus battling Abyss, and if Abyss wins, he gets his job back in TNA.
The Knockouts continued to completely reboot their storylines. After the reunion of The Beautiful People, after Velvet Sky turned bad, the group is are now feuding with Madison Rayne. At the first taping, Rayne beat Velvet Sky. On the second taping, Gail Kim came out and saved Rayne, turning face, and the two teamed up to lose to the Beautiful People later on that show.
Tigre Uno battled Sanada and beat the X-Division champion in the second match of their best of three series. This puts the series between the two X-Division stars at one apiece. Kenny King was doing commentary and will likely move into the X-Division scene soon. However, on the second taping, King was forced to face Bobby Lashley, and walked out on the match.
The big return for these TNA Wrestling spoilers was Kurt Angle. Willow (Jeff Hardy) was battling Ethan Carter III and Rockstar Spud in a handicap match and won. After the match, they attacked him and Angle ran in for the save. He cut a promo about being back and at the second taping beat Rockstar Spud.
Other matches on the two TNA Wrestling tapings included The Wolves beating The Bro-Mans by disqualification, Bobby Roode beating Gunner, Beer Money reuniting to beat Bully Ray and Gunner, and MVP beating Austin Aries. TNA Impact Wrestling airs on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EST on Spike TV.
